We are the Children of New Generation and the new currency of the urban elite is information/ media/ IT.

I have a sense to relate my personal story that defines my art as a form of journalism. I believe it is possible to break stereotypes of how an artist should look and free the souls of the creative class and say it: “Yes, we can!”

Like Phoenix that rises each year from the ashes to be reborn again and again. My art is for people who have a passion for contemporary art or for those who want know more about their Ethnical D.N.A.

Icon Zar was born in Moscow ( Russia), during the Soviet time. Running between ice skating, ballet classes, vocal lessons, made her realize “ Art is a Powerful tool for social changes “

Under influence of Old Hollywood movies, Coca-Cola and Pop American Culture, Disney Animation, Communism propaganda and Russian folklore stories, shaped her future vision of “ Making a world a better place “

Her Art is divided into 9 different periods: RED, BLUE, WHITE, BLACK, GREY, PINK, GOLD, GREEN and VIOLET. Each period has reflections of political changes in the world for that period of time. Her art is in many collections around the world like USA, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Irland, UK, Russia, Japan and Spain. Working with charities, foundations and environmental organizations made her realize how consuming daily habits can make a big difference in the world and “ There‘s No Planet B “

In many cultures woman was positioned as second or even third class. The strong image of Frida Kahlo, who was carried her cross, was set up as Global Female Role Model for many generations.

How Society treats women is the first indicator of its degree of civilizations. I realised that old model of “sacrificed woman” can be changed, first in the state of minds, because art can affect people emotionally and then makes them think intellectually.

The Revolution starts in the brains.

Explaining TRIGGER SU technique.

This period of time I was traveling to Arabic countries and studied technique of Ebru Art, based on the technology of Turkish Origen, unknown in Europe and US, but have just now become very popular.

Islamic Art has focused on the depiction of patterns, whether purely geometric or floral and Arabic calligraphy, rather than on figures, because it is feared by many Muslims that the depiction of the form is idolatry and thereby a sin against God, forbidden in the Quran.

The unique technique of TRIGGER SU (movement of water in Turkish) it´s a new form of Art, which involves ceramic paint, placed on top of water and then printed on canvas or paper.

I was studied the process of the unconscious and disclosure state in colour in Istanbul with famous professors.

A special paint is applied to the surface of the water and the compositions are then drawn with chopsticks. This method is similar to the process of manufacturing photography.

Image printed on special paper. That cannot be repeated twice with the same piece of paper.

It takes a very long time to create the right colour print.

In my technique that I called: TRIGGER SU, the most important things are to reach a balance in most harmonious combination of colours and correct compositions.

It´s like creating iconic image in photography.

The Art of Seduction.

I was inspired for classical Japanese poetry of the 6th to the 12th century AD. It´s about standards for perfections, because poetry in Japan is not just a literary genre, it is life itself and adoring it. The “formula, which made a simple rule: “The maximum in the minimum.”

Sorry that I am woman.

Sorry that it´s so difficult to accept myself as I am. Sorry for my periods and so much pain.

Sorry that all men around me father, brothers, husband, boyfriend are telling me that I am not good.

Sorry that I can´t do many things that men can do. Sorry to feel like a victim and ashamed of my body.

I feel helpless and weak, nobody understand me and I can´t share my pain and let´s go. I am so lonely, hurt, frustrated and not loveable.

But what can I do?

I am asking Divine Power to help me accept myself as beautiful soul in female body. I asking Divine Power to show that woman is not only vagina but the basics of life:

Brining up children, respect, diversity of mind thinking and their great connection to Mother Nature.

I believe that every woman should have her 15 minutes of Fame as Artist. So Let´s Celebrate Femininity!

Dear Universe, thanks for making me a woman, it´s feels so good!

7 Continents –a visual exploration of our planet´s nutritional D.N.A. This concept merges art and science, culinary taste and global cuisine with fine photography.

Concept:

With the advent of the internet in our life´s and our perception of the world has changed into one large village. The rules have changed and we learn to live in a new unknown world.

The 7 Continents concept uses the female body as a symbol of the Earth and fertility.

The body of artist Icon Zar is the canvas for each of the seven pictures in the series represents one continent.

Each frame is our interpretation of the essence of each continent´s variety, its various different ethnic and linguistic groups, and differences of culture.

These are roots from which we started in the adoption of our directions. The artistic intend is the visualisation of the nutritional DNA of each continent. 7Continents is a nouveau combination of art, science, haute cuisine and fine photography.

This exhibition merges art and science, culinary taste and global cuisine with fine photography.

The body and food as an extension of the motherland, which produces everything, has been the common thread throughout the creative process. There are used products and ingredients that is represented in each of the continents.

Antarctic, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, USA, Australia.

Concept:

Pink Period

A bold exploration of feminism—Russian and global. It’s about love, self-acceptance, and the fight to be seen. In the age of Instagram, even a body can be censored.

My project celebrates the female body—its organs as poetic and beautiful, like flowers. There's nothing vulgar in this vision. Art history is filled with phallic symbols, accepted without question. But female forms? Still taboo. So where’s the truth?

What is Art? What is Pornography?

In the digital age, the line between art and censorship has never been more blurred. Why are nipples considered pornography on platforms like Instagram, even in fine art photography? Why is the female body still policed, while phallic symbols pass without question?

We didn’t always have this problem—our cultures once embraced the body as natural, powerful, sacred. Gustave Courbet’s "The Origin of the World" was painted in 1866, yet today, a vagina can still trigger more outrage than a weapon. Has nothing changed?

Is the female form really more threatening than a Kalashnikov? Why can’t we accept sexuality as one of nature’s greatest gifts instead of rewriting history to fit modern fears?

Maybe we’re not afraid of the image—we’re afraid of the truth it reveals about ourselves.

Seahorses as Symbol for Mediterranean

Part 1.

Icon Zar has been exploring the subject of seahorses since 2019. They embody the frugality of our ocean and represent the smallest element of the sea. I choose seahorses as my artistic muse because they evoke images of aliens and the otherworldly. Interestingly, part of the human brain even resembles a seahorse. Additionally, the map of the Balearic Islands hints at seahorse shapes. For me, the seahorse is a symbolic animal of our subconscious—a representation of how a single, small idea can blossom into a broader, global vision.

The Mystery of Male Pregnancy

In nature, seahorses reveal a rare and fascinating role reversal: males carry and birth their offspring. Nature is full of fathers who play a bigger parenting role than one might expect. The artist chose this symbol to pose a thought-provoking question to society:

Imagine a world where men could become pregnant.
